all the poets here
03:33
|
|||
all the poets here are naked and they feel like worms
all the poets here they say they're crying when it rains
all the poets here don't wash for days and weeks and months
all the poets here are looking for someone to blame
all the poets here keep learning how to learn to learn
all the poets here don't feel anything
all the poets here don't feel anything
all the poets here are taking pictures at museums
all the poets here don't know a thing about the works
all the poets here just want to say “look, I am here”
all the poets here keep hiding in their empty brain
all the poets here keep hiding from their empty heart
all the poets here keep claiming for what they don't give
all the poets here keep talking 'bout what they don't know
all the poets here they don't know how to say “thank you”
all the poets here they don't how to say “I'm wrong”
all the poets here are naked and they know they're worms
all the poets here don't have any respect
all the poets here don't have any respect
all the poets here don't feel anything
all the poets here don't feel anything

Nicholas Palace is out of the cave
he walked all the path, he forgot the days
of the poetry boy who screamed from his heart
“that one was demented”... and now he feels smart
Nicholas Palace is perfectly all right
with dynastic richness and class parasites
he sits at the party, he toasts with the king
on his Chris Kerr's suit there's no stain of ink
Nicholas Palace is doing very well
he's got porcelain and advice to sell
his young demented self lies down in the sands
after building the pulpit for the withered old man
his young demented self lies down in the sands
after building a pulpit for this withered old man

that moment

for him it's when wakes up and it's dark
looks at his daughter sleeping, and he smiles
for her it's when he opens the door
gives her a kiss and says “have a lovely day”
and she comes back for another one
for them it's when stretch on the couch
and there comes the dog, because she is the star
for me it's when we're staying in bed
alarm goes off and we become a nest
and there's nothing else we need
in our nest
(except a coffee)
there's nothing else we need
in our nest
(except a coffee)

you're sitting at your desk, playing with a pencil
they enter without knocking, bring your schedule
“you must do something to show that you're working
the option of the war is on the table”
the government press office has a deadline
by Friday you should get back in the saddle
a war is just a show with people dying
you will arrange the screenplay with your double
you can do it for 10
he can do it for 9
you're sitting at your desk, playing with the planet
the government press office's new rattle
you're sitting at your desk, playing with the planet
the government press office's new rattle
you can do it for 10
he will do it for 9
you can do it for 9
he can do it for 5
he can do it for 5
you will do it for 9

I think people are more interesting than gods, and I believe we don't need gods or idols or any other superior entities any more.
I don't even like people who believe that we still need gods.
It seems to me they just don't want to feel responsible for what they do, so they always try to be part of a team, and on the top of this team (or church or country or religion or whatever) there's always a god telling them they are the best, the world is a bad place: "People are bad, you had to be bad. Now ask for forgiveness, and go to sleep”.
I don't want this in my life.
What I want is other human beings who inspire me and bring me to a place where I can ask myself what is right and what is wrong, and then I act and I am responsible for what I did.
Do not put anyone in a frame, do not give anyone superpowers.
Why should you need gods when you have John Peel or PJ Harvey or
Meryl Streep and Stanley Kubrick and Kim Gordon?
Fallible fantastic inspiring people – but just people, like you - trying to create and share beauty, not just looking for excuses to absolve themselves from having done bad things to other people because the world is a bad place.
Why should you need gods
when you have Kim Gordon?

how we lost to a.i.
02:31
|
|||
L.'s in trouble
knows it's all a big mistake
T. keeps being late
to be noticed now and then
R. can just smile
it is never time to hate
B. still looks for
new mind tricks to win for free
and that's how we all can deny our pain
P. gets drunk and
asks himself “is this for real?”
A. plays the game
follows rules and fills the box
S. is planning
futures never-to-be-lived
I am singing
that's the way I better lose
I am singing
that's the way I better lose
and that's how we all can deny our pain
and that's why we'll give in to what we made
and that's why we all can deny our pain
and that's why we'll give in to what we made to what we made

perfect pop song
03:23
|
|||
this is the perfect pop song because
it will go on the radio every day and you
will sing it when you go the beach
and have your best time
this is the perfect pop song because
it was written on the back of a wine shop invoice
and for sure the people who drank that wine
then made love
this is the perfect pop song because
it is short and simple and easy to understand
but there is a line for Democritus and Leibniz
that's cool, ah?
this is the perfect pop song because
it could have been “this is not the perfect pop song”
but that would have been a lying title
for the perfect pop song
this is the perfect pop song because
doesn't have a chorus, that's a waste of time
doesn't have a verse, that's a waste of time
doesn't tell sad stories
it was made only to be whistled
this is the perfect pop song because
this is the perfect pop song

it was taking a long time
many tears in our blood
not to be scared of weekend
trying to make some dreams true
to put trust in a new friend
to deserve my respect
it was taking forever
to get used to disease
to forgive all the kisses
and start loving the scars
to accept there's as beauty
as senselessness in us
would have taken a lifetime
no one would have believed
that there is no resentment
in our good-looking days
you can't hide from your own thoughts
you can't clean dirty loves
